1st ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC on August 24, 2009
It was a great day of golf, fun and prizes at Royal Woodbine Golf Club for our 1st annual Drew Hildebrand Charity Golf Classic . The weather was great and over 75 golfers teed off at our morning shotgun event. At registration, our golfers and guests were given a DHTBF “It Takes Courage To Change” wristband to wear in remembrance of Drew and in support of his Scholarship Fund which supports “turnaround teens”.
Everyone enjoyed a great barbecue lunch and auction excitement. Special Thanks to our MC Steve Husband and guest celebrity Ryan Parker from Q107 who entertained everyone back in the clubhouse.
DHTBF is very grateful to our golf sponsors and donors that supported Drew’s fund not only monetarily, but with the many prizes and gifts donated in support for our silent auction event and golfers gift bags.
Two scholarships will be presented on June 5, 2010 from money raised from our golfers and guests. Special thanks to all our sponsors, golfers, guests, golf committee, volunteers and Royal Woodbine for making our 1st event a success.
In Drew’s memory, together we will all make a difference in the lives of “turnaround teens” in our Peel & Halton communities.
