Volunteer and Job Fair packs the Holiday Inn Conference Centre
The Holiday Inn (30 Peel Centre Drive) was host to a very unique networking opportunity for young Bramptonians on March 3rd. The Youth Exchange Program organized Job & Volunteer Fair brought many in the area together in the name of educational, volunteer, and employment opportunities. The free-of-charge event allowed participants to see a variety of different career and social paths that may not have seemed available or attainable beforehand. The event, offered in partnerships with Sheridan College, Volunteer MBC, and the Brampton Mayor’s Youth Team, was extremely informative while also cultivating a sense of enthusiasm and fun throughout. Engaging youths in the community is important in ensuring that they remain on their own personal path to success. And judging by the effort on March 3rd, which had an extensive youth involvement, the future is bright for many who were in attendance at the Holiday Inn.

(Halton Opportunities For Expelled and Suspended Students)
Students Jayson Woolvett and Alyssa Dolson chose the Drew Hildebrand Teen Benefit Fund as the charity of choice for their Summer Charity Fundraiser. On Tuesday, June 16, 2009 they hosted a barbecue along with Jeff Von Zuben H.O.P.E.S. Program Social Worker and Teacher David Turnball at the New Street Education Centre in Burlington.
They sold hamburgers and drinks to students and teachers, raising $300.00, which was donated for the Drew Hildebrand “It Takes Courage to Change” Scholarship Fund.
